Tampa, FL – 2/21/2019 – Lunchpool is pleased to announce the appointment of advisers – Brian Kornfeld and Dr. Richard Munassi, MD MBA. As an early-stage startup, it’s important to have mentors and advisors who share the vision behind the company, and also bring a wealth of experience and wisdom from their past experiences.

“As our first advisers, these two gentlemen embody the entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to the startup community. We are very fortunate to have two of Tampa Bay’s most prominent leaders in this space by our side as we continue to grow.” Says Alex Abell, Co-Founder and Chief Lunch Break Enforcer.

Dr. Richard Munassi, MD MBA Bio

Dr. Richard Munassi, MD MBA comes to the table with a very strong startup background and a passion for early stage business development. Dr. Munassi has been working with technology startups for over a decade, and has extensive experience in helping startups to start up.

Dr. Munassi is the TechDiversity & Build Cohort Director at the Tampa Bay Wave Technology Accelerator, and a founder of Blackfin Technology Partners. He is also a Chair of the Synapse Innovation Summit conference, focusing on Digital Health. When asked about why he was interested in advising the Lunchpool team, Dr. Munassi remarked, “Collaboration drives innovation and raises team morale. Lunchpool provides companies a valuable tool to help drive peer-to-peer worker engagement, and I’m excited to see Alexander and his team impact the workplace.”

Brian Kornfeld Bio

After getting his start as an actual rocket scientist, Kornfeld entered the startup arena with an early startup, followed by a successful app development firm.

Kornfeld later linked up with the likes of Jeff Vinik who has been a big supporter of his vision of Tampa Bay as a hub for innovation, followed by his Synapse Co-Founders Marc Blumenthal and Andy Hafer. He is currently President and Co-Founder of Synapse – an innovation-focused community, best known for the Synapse Summit that attracted over 5,500 attendees in its 2nd iteration. Synapse also includes a platform, known as Synapse Connect, aiming to be the 24/7/365 guide to bring innovators together.

In Kornfeld’s own words, “I’ve been the person who eats lunch alone at his desk more times that I am happy to admit. This is a concept that solves a real problem, connecting people in a disconnected personal world. I am very excited to help this startup grow.”

He is a passionate mentor and adviser to many successful startups, and the Lunchpool team is glad to have him on board and ready to help them scale to huge heights!
